Our focus Value for the remainder of the term is Courage. Challenging events offer opportunities for courage and growth, and how we handle them can be a powerful gateway to self-esteem.

Courage is critical for children to learn.

Bravery is the experience of being afraid but believing that something else is more important than your fear. It is a choice, and a choice no one can make but ourselves. Kids must make choices for themselves, and others can’t force courage. Parents can do a great deal to teach kids why courage matters, and how to be brave.

At our amazing school, we have introduced our Values Tree. Students are encouraged to look for someone showing a value and fill in a leaf with the students, name, class and the value they were showing. They can then add it to the Values Tree in the library to create a beautiful display of everyone showing our beautiful Alkimos Values.
