Cookie Dough Round-up:
Thank you to everyone who came and collected their cookie dough during our collection time, what a busy afternoon we had. A massive shout out to Ben, Scott, Tara & Kim who volunteered their time to help pack and hand out orders with me.
At the assembly back in week 2, I was given the opportunity to hand out the prizes to the Cookie Champions who were able to earn all 10 badges during the sale of the cookie dough. In total there were 21 champions who all received a special Cookie keyring/bag tag.
Also announced was the overall best seller, who sold a massive 77 tubs of cookie dough. Congratulations to Chase Climo-Waldren from Kindy 1 Green, what an amazing effort.
Pizza Day:
Next Thursday 1 Sept, we have our annual Pizza Day happening as part of the school’s carnival week. Orders can be placed using QuickCliq and selecting the Events tab - https://quickcliq.com.au/
As well as the regular three choices, this year we have also been able to add ham & cheese, as well as a vegan cheese option.
Orders will close at 11.59pm on Monday 29 Aug. No late orders can be accepted as Domino’s requires the final numbers on Tuesday so they have enough time to prepare.
Father’s Day Raffle:
Father’s Day is coming up quickly and we have organised a raffle with some great prizes, including a family photography package and a month’s membership at F45 Training Alkimos, with more to come.
Tickets are $2 each or there are also ticket bundles available. Tickets can be purchased using the Raffletix site - https://www.raffletix.com.au/?ref=cmpuz
Sales close at 12pm on Fri 2 Sept and will be drawn during the school carnival lunchbreak.
Atlantis Fun Day:
On Saturday 17th September we have an Atlantis Fun Day planned. There will be 2 session times available and each will run for 1.5hrs. The Fun Day will be for students ONLY of Alkimos Primary School, and younger/older siblings, family or friends won’t be able to attend.
To hold this event, we will need parent volunteers during each session. Each volunteer will have a ‘station’ on/around the equipment where they will keep watch over the kids playing. If we don’t get the parent volunteers needed to run this event it WILL be cancelled, so if you can stay, please do. A sign-up sheet will be made available at the same time the tickets go on sale.
Only the parent volunteers will be able to remain at Atlantis during the event, as we do have a limit on numbers.
General Meeting:
Our next P&C meeting will be held on Wed, 14th September at 6.30pm. Everyone is invited to attend and we would love to see some new faces join us. Membership is just $1 for the year (renewable at every AGM) and allows you to vote, put forward ideas and have your say on all items presented.
Entertainment Books:
